Nana Gecaga the KICC CEO and President Uhuru Kenyatta’s niece has MPs angry after she walked into a meeting ‘wearing jeans and t-shirt’.
According to Mwingi West MP Charles Nguna, Ms Gechaga kept them waiting for 30 minutes then casuallt walked in wearing a jeans and a t-shirt, on a weekday.
“Ms Gecaga appeared ill-prepared for the visit,” said the MP
Bunge has a dress code. A recent order by Speaker of the National Assembly Justin Muturi, anyone entering the Parliament premises has to be dressed in official attire.
“Members of the press and guests shall not enter the chamber, lodges, dining rooms, committee rooms when not properly dressed,” said Mr Muturi
Mr Muturi said members must wear a coat, long sleeved shirt, tie, socks and shoes or service uniform – for men.
